| We Love Our Veterinarian. A good working relationship with your basenjis Dr. is Vital. The middle of an emergency or medical crisis is not the time to be looking for a Veterinarian you can trust with the life of your basenji. Your veterinarian should never make you feel stupid for asking questions, nor be resistant to investigating all new developments in the research being done concerning the health issues pertaining to Basenjis. It takes teamwork between you and your Veterinarian to ensure the health and well being of your Basenji. | There is no way I could put together a web site focusing on the Basenji without including a page on Health concerns. Every Breed even the neighborhood Mr. Multi has Breed specific medical issues. In fact contrary to popular belief Mr. Multi has inherited tendencies from more than one breed. Thankfully due to dedicated research answers are being found for many of concerns facing the Basenji Breed. Hopefully the day is near that we won't have to watch helplessly as the quality of life is snatched away from dear friends. In the meantime we all have a responsibility to test, share information and offer support.
