How Tucker came to be a Birch Basenji
Watching Super Bowl 2004
On our way home with our Tuck!
Ron and Lisa,
Words can never express to you how much we appreciate being given the
opportunity to share our home with this wonderful boy. Thank-you for not
laughing at some of the silly questions I called you about and always sharing
in our excitement at each milestone.

Isn't he Precious?
Ch. Birchs I'm A Dream Come True
Breeder: Ron and Lisa Linder

When we originally were put on the waiting list we requested a female. When the puppies arrived we were
sent pictures of all the little girls to take our choice. We looked them all over and settled on one. We began
receiving regular updates and about 2 weeks before we were supposed to go get her, I received a phone
call from Lisa. My heart sank as I heard there was a problem with the bite on the puppy Justin had chosen.
She said it wasn't awful and that it might correct itself, but she felt she had to let us know. Since All the
other females had been spoken for she said we could still have her at a discounted price or she would
gladly refund our deposit. She then went on to say that she still had Two males that were not spoken for
yet. One that she had not even offered to anyone, as she was thinking about holding on to him. She would
send both pictures and we could have our choice. Upon Lisa's recommendation we chose her pick puppy
and that is how Tucker came to be a part of the family. It was meant to be!
Tucker @ 5 weeks.
This is the very first picture
we saw of him
.
This is what Justin found under the Christmas
Tree! His "Gift" was only 16 days old. He still
had over 5 more weeks to wait.
We were scheduled to drive down
Monday morning to pick Tucker up.
I went to the phone and called Lisa,
After seeing the look on Justin's face
when we heard Friday on the
evening news that there was a major
winter storm coming and we might not
be able to make the trip as planned.
Since he had been to the vet and had
gotten a clean bill of health and shots,
Lisa agreed to us driving down early
the next morning in hopes of beating
the storm. We drove the last 30 miles
of our trip home in Heavy snow.
We arrived home
Saturday evening with
our red bundle. The
storm had settled in and
we were getting major
snow fall.

Sunday evening we get
a phone call that our
daughter-in-law is in
labor. We head out in the
storm again this time to
the hospital to welcome
William to the family.

What a wonderful,
Stormy weekend!
